Please prepare your horse by ensuring their coat is clean and dry prior to Astraya coming to treat your horse on the day.

If Astraya attends an appointment and is unable to treat the horse due to the horse being wet and/or muddy the full treatment price must be paid.

It is the owners responsibility to make Astraya aware of any behavioural issues that your horse may have that could raise a safety issue when being handled during the massage or healing. Astraya will always try to treat your horse at all costs, however if a situation appears dangerous Astraya will cut the treatment short to prioritise safety first-most and far-most. Please be made aware that in a safety warning situation like this full treatment price must be paid.

Astraya is a fully certified, and insured Equine Massage Therapist, her training allows her to analyse and assess posture, confirmation, alignment, movement, skeletal and musculoskeletal dysfunctional mis-alignment, asymmetry and or weakness/ problems. Astraya is not a veterinary surgeon, therefore she does require that your horse be registered with a veterinary surgeon, and be referred to a vet at the first indication of any symptoms, or signs, that may suggest underlying health issues.

NOTE: Only Veterinary Surgeons are legally able to diagnose and investigate any clinical problems.

To safeguard yourself and your horse, Astraya requires veterinary permission prior to treating your horse (Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966); this can be carried out via a phone call that Astraya or the owner can make.

Although veterinary consent is not required, even if your horse is in good health, Astraya will still ask you to confirm the vet practice your horse is registered with; this is imperative especially during the assessment process, if any pathologies are identified, Astraya can notify your vet and work alongside your veterinary surgeon/ team to build a thorough holistic treatment plan that honours your horse in his/her totality, alongside the horses veterinary treatment also. 

Astraya will travel within a 1 hour maximum journey of NP18 2HP: such as Newport, Cardiff, Usk, Abergavenny, Monmouth and Chepstow region. There is no charge for travel to locations within 10 mile radius of NP18 2HP but a charge of 75p per mile thereafter may be chargeable depending on whether Astraya has other bookings in your area on the same day. Astraya will schedule group bookings in the same area to reduce travel costs whenever it is possible.

In the event of a cancellation, where the client chooses to cancel their equine massage and or healing session there are cancellation policies set in place. In the event of re-arranging your booking to a different day, we kindly request as much notice as possible, so that we can fill your spot.

• Cancellation less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment - Full price needs to be paid
• Cancellation less than 48 hours before scheduled appointment - Full price needs to be paid
• Cancellation more than 48 hours - No charge 

NOTE: In more extreme cases such as a family death or serious accident, a waiver shall be granted.

Astraya is a fully certified Equine Massage Therapist,  having gained her qualification with a Distinction from the Equine Massage Training UK, where she covered an extensive practice study in person. Astraya is also fully insured and registered.
